Voice & video calls

Talk face to face, without leaving the app

Tap the phone or the camera in any Socionn chat and you are connected. There are no numbers to swap and no other app to open.

Calls ring like a normal phone call: on the lock screen, with the full incoming-call screen, even when Socionn is closed. They run on LiveKit's real-time network, built for fast, stable connections.

Available in the iOS and Android apps

Or create a free account on the web.

What you get

One tap from any chat

Call the person you are already talking to. Choose voice or video from the top of the conversation.

Rings when the app is closed

Incoming calls reach you on the lock screen, so you do not miss one because the app was not open.

The controls you expect

Mute your microphone, switch the speaker, and turn your camera on or off during the call.

Voice or video, your choice

Start with voice and keep your camera off, or go face to face on video.

Only people who can reach you

Blocked people cannot call you, and Souls calls need a match first.

Built on real-time infrastructure

Socionn uses LiveKit's real-time network for low-delay audio and video.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open a chat

Go to Messages and open the conversation with the person you want to call.

  2. 2

    Tap phone or camera

The call starts immediately and their phone rings.

  3. 3

    Talk

Use the on-screen controls to mute, switch the speaker or turn video on and off, then hang up when you are done.
